Prius Spec C in Malaysia for RM103,990 price

Toyota Prius C is coming to Malaysia and thanks to our government in support of hybrid cars the company has announce an attractive estimation Price of RM103,990.  In short, the Toyota Prius C is a smaller size brother of the original Prius or rather a more compact version of Toyota Prius.

The Toyota Prius C is “small, light and efficient 1.5-litre (1,496 cc – Engine Model: 1NZ-FXE) Toyota hybrid system with reduction gear. It comes with a selectable electric-vehicle mode (EV Mode) enables driving with only the electric motor. The maximum output @ 73kW from the hybrid powerplant.”

One will expect the Toyota Prius C power like a 1.8L car, although the combine horsepower output is about 101hp but the high torque from the electric motor as well as the engine will give the small Prius a quick pick up

Mercedes C class AMG Specification and features

Engine

The C 63 AMG is powered by an AMG V8 naturally aspirated engine with an output of 336 kW and up to 600 Nm torque. The unit delivers outstanding acceleration figures: in just 4.4 seconds from a standstill to 100 km/h (and with the optional Performance package 4.3 seconds).
  • The combination: the engine's high displacement and impressive high-speed concept enable it to deliver a performance at motor sports level at all times.
  • Optimised engine management: the requirements of the Euro 5 emissions class can be met in this high output engine version, too.
Transmission

The new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with which the C 63 AMG is equipped, impresses through its great diversity and efficiency. With AMG aluminium steering wheel gearshift paddles, four driving programmes and the Race-Start function, the new 7-speed automatic transmission makes a 10-percent consumption reduction over the preceding model possible, accompanied by enhanced driving dynamics and greater efficiency.
The "S" (Sport), "S+" (Sport Plus), "C" (Comfort) and "M" (Manual) modes each have different gear-change characteristics and speeds:

Gear changes in "S" and "S+" modes are around 20 or 40 percent swifter than in "C" mode respectively – while in "M" mode gear changes take just 100 milliseconds, making them some 50 percent faster. A push of a button activates the desired driving mode: distinctly sporty or more comfort-oriented.

There is the automatic double-declutching function when downshifting, which provides an emotional sound experience as well as reducing power-off effects. This function has a positive effect when braking on the approach to bends in particular.

Dynamic Handling

With the Dynamic Handling package with sports driving mode it is possible to choose between a comfortable suspension setting and an excitingly sporty suspension setting.
With sports mode selected, the system adjusts the firmness of the damping and even sharpens the accelerator response so that you feel the response from the engine more acutely. Or you can choose the standard mode and enjoy a particularly smooth and comfortable ride.

Regardless of the driving mode you select, the electronically regulated damping system always adjusts to the driving situation and road conditions. This increases the road roar and tyre vibration characteristics and driving safety, particularly the vehicle's agility.

One part of the dynamic handling package is its speed-sensitive sports steering. By changing the steering characteristic, it provides a particularly sporty steering sensation.

Info: BMW Brake Energy Regeneration.

To save energy and reduce the vehicle’s fuel consumption, this system controls the times at which the alternator charges the battery. Conventionally, a car’s alternator runs continuously and thus charging is always available to the battery; in the Gran Turismo, it charges only when the vehicle is decelerating or braking; otherwise, it freewheels, drawing virtually no power from the engine. An electronically controlled clutch, somewhat similar to that used with the air-conditioning compressor, is added to engage and disengage the alternator.

Accommodating the less frequent charging is a special, more powerful battery that can satisfy a contemporary vehicle’s high electrical demands without access to continuous charging. The battery uses a technology called “glass mat,” in which its internal plates are separated with saturated absorbent glass-boron silicate rather than the usual liquid electrolyte. This construction sharply reduces the battery’s conversion of charging energy to heat, and can provide the necessary electrical power for longer periods between charges.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206 NBR Challenge Package

Tokyo, November 24, 2011 – Subaru Tecnica International Inc. (STI) is pleased to announce the launch of the SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI “S206”, special performance edition. The model will go on sale today through Subaru dealerships in Japan.
Based on the 4-door SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI, S206 is the newest model in STI’s 'S' series. This series dons the crown of STI tuned cars with advanced driving performance and exclusively-made items in both interior and exterior designs. As with former STI models such as S204 and R205, S206 is founded on the IMPREZA WRX STI line.
In addition, “NBR CHALLENGE PACKAGE” model will be released to commemorate the class win at 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race held in June, with the addition of a carbon roof and original dry carbon rear spoiler. The exterior design incorporates racing car motifs and has an enhanced sporty feel.
S206’s body and engine were tuned to perform as expected of STI’s best model. The body employs exclusive Bilstein shock absorbers, STI coil springs, a flexible tower bar (front), and a flexible draw stiffener (front). While improving straight-driving performance, motion is steadied when going into corners so that precise and quick turning is possible. Plus, “Michelin Pilot Super Sport” tires provide refined driving comfort in combination with “BBS” 19-inch aluminum wheels made only for this model.
In the exclusively-made engine, the weight balance between piston, connecting rod, and crankshaft is optimized to enhance the rev feel. Along with a ball bearing turbocharger, ECU (Engine Control Unit) with STI tuning, and a sports muffler with lowered back pressure exhaust - all of which were designed for this model - the engine can deliver 235kW (320PS) in maximum output and 431N.m (44kg.m) in maximum torque. The accelerator response is heightened and low to mid range torque increased, thereby offering better driveability.
On the outside, the lower front spoiler and front fender outlet grille, both designed for this model, and the trunk spoiler are among its distinctive features. The newly-made front grille and side garnishes were also employed for aerodynamics improvement and a high grade appearance.
In the interior are exclusively-made items such as a genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel, 'RECARO' racing bucket seats, and seatbelts. Together they create a refined appearance and feel, appropriate for this flagship model.

S60 Turbo from Volvo

The S60 T4 is priced at RM220,000, while the T5 costs RM255,000 OTR without insurance.

The unit in the T5 is a 2.0-litre with 240 hp and 320 Nm of torque, pretty impressive figures that trump even Volkswagen’s TSI engine in the Golf GTI. The S60 T5 does 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 230 km/h.
The T4 may be just a 1.6-litre unit, but with a turbo bolted on, it makes 180 hp and 240 Nm of twist from 1,600 to 5,000 rpm. An overboost function raises max torque to 270 Nm in spurts. That should mean that it will be fast enough for most (0-100 in 9.0s top speed 225 km/h), while costing just RM90 in road tax. Combined consumption is 7.4 litres per 100 km. Both engines are mated to a six-speed Powershift gearbox, so it’s all the latest tech in one.
